Photoshop & All Workshop

I learnt from Myles Monroe that the best way to make wealth is to look for problems and solve them. So I decided to solve the Design and Photography problem in my country, Ghana and the rest of Africa. Scott Kelby of scottkelby.com being my hero and role model inspired me to do this and so decided to organize my first workshop with some friends in my hometown, Odumase-Krobo. I had to convince people, thus photographers and designers in the neighbourhood to attend this 3-day workshop and give them a DVD containing the tutorials and the Adobe software which will be taught at the workshop.

To enable more people to show up, I told them day one was free but they will have to pay to attend the second and third day of the workshop. So we started the workshop on the 8th of August, 2012 and the number was quite encouraging since it was free. I taught Photoshop and Lightroom  but day two turned up to  be somethings else. Only 12 people showed up and we still went ahead and organized it. We still continued with Photoshop since the attendees wanted more of that. Day 3 came and I taught about branding and the need to see yourself as a potential capable of getting jobs from anywhere in the world and my Pastor, Rev. Chris Baah Nartey also came and empowered the workshop attendees on the need to think higher and invest into their business. The workshop ended and all who attended the full three days were so glad and asked us to organize more of such things. And I can conclude by saying we organized a great event to a wrong audience and that resulted in the poor turnout. I hope to organize more of such since the dream to teach good design and photography is not yet realized. Thanks you!
